Yugioh GX Cards
There are many different cards in the world of Yugioh! GX, and every character has his or her favourite card which always seems to get them out of the toughest spots. First of all there are monster cards; each monster card has ATK and DEF points. The idea is to try and summon the strongest monster to the field, however it might not be as easy as it seems.
Each card has a star level on it; this star level refers to whether or not you need to sacrifice other monsters in order to summon this one to the field. Level 4 and below can instantly be summoned to the field, whereas levels 5 and 6 take one sacrifice and level 7+ takes two sacrifices. In addition to this, some monster cards have special effects which could be very advantageous in a close battle.
Along with the monster cards, there are magic cards. These are green in colour and are used for many different things. You can give yourself more hit points, give your monsters a power boost by equipping weapons and shields and even deal direct damage to your opponent. The key to a good deck is a good combination of monsters, and specific Yugioh GX cards that will make you the victor.
Traps cards play another important role within Yugioh! GX. These cards have the ability to completely destroy another monster on the field, buff up the ATK or DEF or your monsters and even temporarily or permanently take control of a monster on your opponent’s side of the field. Very powerful and very difficult to defend against, the trap cards are really frustrating as they can easily ruin one of your brilliant plans.
Obtaining new cards to improve your deck is very important, and duellists around the world trade or buy new cards to guarantee that they are unbeatable when the time comes for a duel. At points, the most powerful card you own could be the stake if you lose. However, if you win you get to add your opponent’s most powerful card to you deck.
